Move & Care for Your Body

Movement That Fits Real Life

Movement is one of the simplest ways we can care for ourselves every day - especially in midlife. It supports our strength, mobility, energy, confidence, and ability to keep doing the things we enjoy.

That movement doesn’t have to mean spending hours at the gym or following the “perfect” workout plan. Walking, pedaling while you work, stretching, dancing, or using a vibration plate all count. The goal is to find movement you enjoy and can realistically build into your life, because small amounts done consistently matter more than an intense routine you dread and eventually abandon.

How I Add Movement to a Desk-Bound Day

I have a desk job, which means I can spend hours sitting without realizing how little I’ve moved. I’m not interested in pretending that everyone has the time, energy or desire to live at the gym. I believe movement should be something you enjoy—or at least something that fits naturally into the life you already have.

For me, that can mean pedaling while I work, walking indoors, stepping onto my vibration plate between tasks or taking a few minutes to care for my body after a long day. None of it has to be perfect to count. The goal is to find realistic ways to move, reconnect with your body and feel better in your everyday life.

Body Care That Helps Me Slow Down

Body care is more than another item on my to-do list—it’s one of the ways I pause, pay attention, and reconnect with myself. Whether I’m adding moisture after a shower, easing tension after sitting at my desk, caring for a puffy face, or rescuing my perpetually dry hands, these small rituals encourage me to slow down and give my body some of the care it spends all day giving everyone else.

Liquid Luxury

HA Shower Oil

If your skin feels soft after your morning shower but like a Triscuit by lunchtime, Liquid Luxury may be exactly what it’s missing.

Apply this indulgent body oil while your skin is still slightly damp after showering to help seal in moisture and keep it feeling soft, smooth, and supple throughout the day. Its rich texture glides on beautifully without leaving behind a heavy, greasy feeling.

I love Liquid Luxury because midlife skin can become noticeably drier, even when that was never a concern before. It gives my skin the lasting hydration it needs - and helps me feel velvety smooth instead of dry and tight by noon.

Heated Gua Sha

Massage Tool

After sitting at my desk for hours, my body can feel stiff and tense. I use this heated gua sha tool on my arms and legs as part of my body-care routine and across my shoulders when my muscles feel tight. The combination of warmth, vibration, and massage feels soothing and gives me a simple way to slow down, release tension, and reconnect with my body.

Lymphatic Contoured

Face Brush

I use this contoured face brush every morning, gently sweeping it across my forehead, over my hooded eyes, along my cheeks and smile lines, and underneath my chin. It feels incredibly relaxing and gives me a quiet moment of self-care before beginning my day.

Combined with my skincare, gua sha routine, and efforts to reduce inflammation, I’ve noticed that my face looks and feels far less puffy. I can’t credit one product alone, but this simple daily ritual has become a soothing part of the routine that works for me.

Ritual Moisturizing

Hand Cream

I have a legitimate hand-lotion obsession - there’s a tube next to my bed, at my desk, beside my chair, in my purse, and in my car. Ritual has replaced all other hand lotions in that collection because it leaves my hands feeling silky and deeply moisturized without the greasy residue.

Its formula combines Complex Ceramides, Peptide4, and CoQ10 to hydrate and visibly smooth the signs of aging. Best of all, the moisture actually lasts, so washing my hands doesn’t immediately send me running to reapply it.
